Great and timely article, one of the pressing issues in marriage today is lack of emotional intimacy. I am dealing with two couples now that are struggling with this

I completely agree with all six. But what do you do when your spouse is not responsive or willing to do these things. My spouse blames me for the deteriation of our marriage. Our marriage is a circle of blame. He says over and over that I am the problem in the relationship. So he takes no part in building our marriage, he leaves the changing to me. So I do what I need to do in obedience to God, although I sometimes stumble. My spouse views my mistakes as an unwillingness or lack of interest in his needs. I will keep doing the best I can...I am working only with God.
